I believe, though it may have been in poor taste, Ann has a right to say what she did. It is amazing to me how those who claim to support free speech are so eager to control the speech of those with whom they disagree. This country has changed a lot from when I first enlisted. I believe that this country, the citizenry/society in general, has lowered their standards. But the worst decay and decline I have seen has been from those "public servants" who were elected to represent us. They only represent thier bank accounts, business partners, and ultimately themselves. I fail to see any progress in the two states which mean the most to me. I grew up in New York and still ist it as my home of record, the representation from the senators from NY has been lackluster at best. I currently reside in California and the representation from the 2 senators here is also quite pathetic. Lobbyists and special interests must be removed from government. All those in the beltway and in each state and municipal capital, whether elected or appointed, must work for ALL the people they represent, not just those who voted with that party. They are public servants, they must remember that they can be removed from office just as they were entrusted with it. We need to focus less on Paris Hilton and Ann Coulter - neither of whom can sign a bill into law, and focus more on those who we have given our trust and faith to serve us and this soveriegn nation. $90,000 in a freezer, stolen classified documents, kickbacks and perks from lobbyists - those are real crimes.
