Keep Harrison on KTLK

I think "Mr K" is boring. He lacks the depth of knowledge and understanding that other commentators on AM 1150 have. I rank Thom Hartman #1, Randi #2, Stephanie #3 (just because her show is funny). I really miss Harrison on the Edge. He had a good understanding of what is going on and he had the local perspective. I am very concerned that putting "Mr.K" on for 4 hours in prime time is Clear Channel's attempt to dilute the progressive message. Please, let us have one radio station that isn't filled with the lies from the Right.

Please bring Harrison back. Please get rid of Mr. K. Is the shining moment of progressive radio in Los Angeles over as a Disney mentality creeps in? Do you think progressive listeners are stupid? I have stopped listening in the afternoon. Mr. K and his giggly sidekick are wolves in sheep's clothing (hawks in doves'?) and I hope they are moved back to Fox or one of those other right wing stations as soon as possible.

We miss Harrison's inciteful programming and commentary on local and political matters. The replacement host (Mark 'Special K' Germain) is so poor I have stopped listening in the evenings.

To remove an inspirint, creative, well-spoken progressive like Harrison (On The Edge) and replace him with the tepid, vapid, unkind, weak, mediocre-at-best "Mr. K" shows that someone at KTLK doesn't know what they're doing. I am an avid listener to the best of KTLK, which means that I WILL NEVER LISTEN TO MR. K! Please, for our sake, for your own sake, and for the success of the station (unless you actually choose to fail), put people into programs who reflect the tremendously widespread progressive audience in Southern California. Bad decisions can be remade; lousy hosts like Mr. K can be ditched and replaced -- just like that!

Please help to impeach Bush and Cheney. They should be replaced with someone who can help lead our country. We need to pull out of Iraq and use the billions of dollars on our own country. There are issues like gobal warming, Americans who do not have heath insurance, food or housing. We need to focus on helping our own country.
End the war now and bring our troops home.

We need peace! The world needs peace!

Our very brave young men and women are serving a flawed mission based on lies and deception. They are giving everything- and their families are too! We need to bring them home.

We must also stop the gradual slide to war with Iran. This is absurdity! How is it possible for us to have gone to a country to 'rescue' the population from a brutal dictator only to find that we are now caught in the middle of a horrible civil war. We are not able to solve that struggle for the Iraqi people- they must decide for themselves to demand peace from their waring groups. We will absolutely NOT help matters by invading Iran!

Let's bring out troops home to their families, NOW.

KTLK can at least return him to his Saturday schedule; anything is an improvement over those unnecessary infomercials now dominating on the weekends. Don't get me started on the weekday lineup.

Marc Germain is most definitely not progressive and Ed Schultz is neither live nor local. Both are insufferable and boring. Martin, the station manager, has made a boneheaded set of poor choices that will not improve the station's ratings.

America has been betrayed. Now we see again a kind of fascist opression, as the media, begins to shut out the constitutional freedom ro publicly debate and publish the dissenting voices that expose the extent of our betrayal, by our governemnt representatives, in bot parties, who either by their unwillingness to strand up and fight the grip of Tyrany, that our Democratric freedoms have become opressed and repressed by, the current fascist Political powers that be, in our governments at all levels.

I was sorry to hear of the news regarding Harrison on the Edge.

Cary Harrison is a rare commodity of a talk show host who walks the walk in addition to the talk. He is engaged in the community in such a way as to become a mobile, pervasive advertising push for KTLK and Air America.

Dropping Harrison on the Edge marginalizes the legitimacy of the station, as you are losing one of your best feet forward.

Sincerely and With Concern,

Byron De Lear

I listen to your station all the time. Please do not "water down" your content. We need the truth, not "infotainment".

Harrison is a voice for many of us. We need him on the airwaves.

you keep getting rid of your most original and entertaining hosts mike malloy, sam seder, harrison, marc maron. Mr K sucks he's boring even lionel is more entertaining than mr K.
i dont know why a radio station that takes its listernership for granted can expect to keep an audience. if its not the basketball and hockey pre emptions then its the paid shysters and con artists on the weekends. I used to be able to count on this station for good programming whenever i was near a radio. thankfully i have a computer and can listen to other stations that have a better committment to this format

Air America radio gives me hope. It is so refreshing to turn on the radio and get something other than right wing perspectives on "important" matters like flag burning and prayer in school. But the conservative machine is trying to dismantle free speech and the dismissal of Ed Harrison's "On the Edge" program is just another victory for them.
KTLK needs to reinstate him and not give in to pressure from big business and the corporate heads who want to run our country.

You get rid of Harrison, you lose many listeners from my long list of email addresses, plus boycott against your sponsors!

We already are living in a 'mediaocracy' which goes far beyond any previous attempt to foster ignorance, fear and apathy and so the ploy that lawmakers were misled about Iraq and Vietnam goes happily on in the pseudo free press we enjoy, while foreigners die in their own foreign small countries.

I beg your pardon, but I was distinctly under the impression that there is an a fundamental statement in our constitution which guarantees freedom of speech and the right to peaceful assembly. I hear people like Rush Limbaugh with all the venom spouting out of their respective mouths; what, may I ask, is the purpose of denying Harrison's "On the Edge" show when we have Fox news being paid for denigrating anything the Democrats try to accomplish and are magnificent in their libelous statements about candidates.

Dear friends:
We very much appreciated Harrison's program on your radio and would like for him to be reinstated. He supported Arun Gandhi's coming to L.A. for an outstanding march/rally. We need such voices, even though we may not agree with all of their views. Thank you for trying to reinstate him.

I responded to the request to tell the management at KTLK to bring Harrison back on the air. My strong comments made the station manager call me - ostensibly to set me straight as to why Harrison was taken off the air. He told me the 'drive time' slot that had been by "a talk radio" host who had a good following and that I should give him a chance. Well, I gave him a chance and I cannot understand how a progressive radio station could possibly hire Mr. K and call him 'progressive'. Although Mr. K has a right to his opinions, they do not belong on KTLK - progressive radio in LA He is rude to callers, interrupts them and utters untruths! I reiterate my request, now a demand, to return Harrison to the 8-10 slot; Ed Schultz (one of the five best commentators in the country) back to the 12-3 time slot and finally Randi Rhodes to the 'drive time' slot of 3-6 P.M. Keeping the line-up as you now have it, will cause your station to lose many listeners.

Please remove the right wing- no wing Mr. K. and replace with Harrison and Rachel Maddow. I have been a faithful listener of randi rhodes and will no longer listen if Mr. K remains on the station. I've listened to him 3 times and don't feel he is a progressive and I'm dismayed that he is replacing these other great talkers! I'm contacting the sponsors as well...

Harrison RULES! Brilliant, warm, wise, compassionate, entertaining, interested in every listener, attentive to their responses, and with a deep understanding of what the Constitution of the United States is all about. What part of "Great Talk Show Host" do you not understand? Keep him.

What I'm particularly upset about is the station management replacing Harrison's show with an unethical, pro-corporate apologist for the mainstream Democrats. Air America's strength was standing up to the reactionary onslaught of other hateful, right-wing talk radio that' so pervasive and so disgusting. The last thing KTLK needs is a host in that mold.
