It's more than time to stop the madness. War cannot stop war, particularly not this one. Send Cheney, Bush, Rice and the others who want us there, bring everyone else home. Thank you.

President Bush's behaviors remind me of Hitler's, and every person who does nothing is guilty of allowing a madman to run a nation. World War III, or its halt, rests on our shoulders by freeing the Mideast from the presence of the United States.

This latest "surge" is nothing more than throwing good money after bad, or should I say bodies. We've been hoodwinked into a war that doesn't need fighting against an undefined foe who had nothing to with the attack against us. Stop, now.

Dear Sir or Madam:
It is imperative that we get out of Iraq immediately. We cannot afford to create any more enemies in the world. It is our heavy handedness that is responsible for creating terrorists.

How many petitions do Americans have to sign to convince this administration that WE MEAN BUSINESS? How many times do we have to say NO to get the message across? We've tried everything short of impeachment and recall elections; perhaps that is the only way we will get it through the thick heads of ALL who continue to support this war that AMERICANS HAVE SPOKEN OUR FINAL WORD ON THIS SUBJECT! Act on our mandate or LOSE YOUR JOB!

While I and other North Carolinian constituents were in Washington on Jan. 29th we met with informative, concerned legislative aides from Sen. Burr's and Rep. Coble's office. Our serious discussions were held in conference rooms and we were listened to attentively by well informed, and experienced aides. I was particularly pleased to hear that Rep. Coble does not support this surge of even greater tragedy.
Sen. Dole's and her office staff refused to meet with her constituents, which included vets and military families. These meetings were set up ahead of time, via letters, faxes and phone calls. When we stopped by with some information we were escorted to the hallway by an aide who told us he was sick. He wanted to just take our information, and during our brief discussion seemed to be implying that we were in Iraq to fight against the perpetrators of 911.
We need concerned and capable leaders to guide us through these trying and tragic times. We also need to mandate accountability for the horrendous tragedies and damage that has been done to our nation and our world in the last 6 years.

Tonight I gazed at the smiling faces of men and women from Texas who have died in Iraq. I was horrifed at how many there were. One hundred sixty (160) were pictured on the website I visited. One hundred and sixty men and women whose bodies were torn apart by bombs or bullets. Maybe we who want to bring our troops home so not one more drop of blood is shed to protect the President's ego should take a lesson from the fanatics who march in front of Planned Parenthood clinics carrying photos of bloodied flesh. Maybe we need to march in front of our media outlets with photos of the dead in Iraq -- civilians and soldiers. Bush won't even let coffins be photographed -- he says we all worry too mcuh about the war as it is. Each of those 160 men and women from Texas has left a grieving family. So far their suffering, and the possibly even worse suffering of the brain damaged and those without faces or genitals or limbs, are ignored. There are many who cry that bringing our troops home is not supporting our troops but do those who scream the loudest about the need to support our troops (including the President) never attend a funeral, visit a faceless man or woman in the VA, or make sure a motherless or fatherless child doesn't end up living in some roach infested house going to a school that doesn't get enough tax dollars to give its students textbooks or paper. Those of you who are too afraid to debate Iraq aren't worth even one drop of the blood shed by one of these soldiers who have more courage in their fingernail than you have in your entire body and soul.

It is overtime to bring our troops home. While everyone in Washington is talking, our troops are dying. Why? For what Reason? We have invaded a country which did not threaten us and now over 3000 of our men and women have perished and over 20,000 horribly wounded. An untold number of Iraqi civilians have died. Why? Bring the troops home now. Didn't you listen to the message from the American public in the last
election. Listen to us. We will be back in the voting booths
soon.

There were no terrorists in Iraq to go to war AGAINST, except ones the Bush and Cheney themselves elevated by their reckless occupation. And continuing the occupation there will just breed two more local insurgents for every one they pick off in a photo-op bombing.

Congress needs to follow the will of the American people not the political party they join. You must act now to stop this war. It was obvious to many of us from the very start that the invasion was wrong, lies were told, greed/power was first and formost in the eyes of this administration.. Please I urge you to stop sending our troops in harms way, stop the slaughter of innocent Iraqi citizens, end this war NOW!!

To the members of Congress;
Please, vote against escalation of the war in Iraq. and bring our heroic troops home, which should cut our inflationary expeniture.

The non-binding compromise resolution does nothing to bring our troops home. This is not what we voted for. I urge you to stand up and do the right thing. If you are not going to stop the war then please make a true and meaningful stand against this latest escalation.

Please, please support our troops by bringing them home and instituting diplomacy in the Middle East. The slaughter of Iraqis and our troops must be stopped - please do the right thing, even if it is hard.

Enough is enough. Do politicians not understand that they are suppose to represent the will of the people? End the war in Iraq now.

No troops should be there in the first place!! Get them out of there now!! We are terrorizing a nation for no reason and making killers out of our youth! Please do every thing you can to bring the troops home NOW!!

Please prevent any further deaths of US troops and Iraqis by defying the "surge". please don't perpetuate this failed, disasterous war that is illegal and immoral. Please stop the madness!

Stop the war now. More killing is not the solution. We had no business invading Iraq and Afghanistan in the first place.
Everyone knows our administration was only after the oil and
control of the Middle East. They do not care how many innocent people, American or otherwise, they have to kill in order to secure the oil and empire.

The war profiteers LOVE the war. The global oil corporations LOVE the war. The politicians seem to LOVE the war or they would do something constructive to stop it. Families with loved ones in the military HATE the war. People with conscience HATE the war. People all over the world HATE the war, and are beginning to HATE Americans for all of the killing
that George Bush is responsible for.

It is time to strip GeorgeBush of any war powers before he has our military strike Iran. His manuvers in the Persian Gulf
look like he is trying to provoke Iran, or perhaps he is setting the stage for a false flag attack of one of our warships, with or without our "friends" the Zionists, who are the major benefactors of our pre-emptive invasions of the Middle East.

The American people NEED our economy to benefit from an investment in over $8 BILLION PER MONTH. Think of the health care, housing, educational, human services, water, power, transportation systems we could create with that amount of money going to the betterment of mankind rather than KILLING. STOP THE WAR. YOU HAVE THE POWER OF THE PURSESTRINGS. MAKE YOURSELVES PROUD BY DOING WHAT IS RIGHT FOR HUMANITY.
