Overturn Citizens United Before An Oligarch Takes YOUR Job

It used to be oligarchs would buy politicians with contributions to do their bidding. With the Donald Trump candidacy we now have a true oligarch cutting out the middlemen and running for a major party office himself. Trump has the cash flow to finance a full presidential run all by himself, which even Mitt Romney could not do.

But there is already a provision on the table which would have stopped the wealthiest guy in the room from buying a seat for himself, the proposed Democracy For All constitutional amendment (S.J.Res 5, H.J.Res.22), which would declare the right of the people through their legislatures to "set reasonable limits on the raising and spending of money by candidates to influence elections."

To members of both parties who have not yet co-sponsored the respective joint resolution in their chamber, we ask, "At what point will even you recognize that enough is enough?" It's just a matter of time before an oligarch makes a play for YOUR job.

We, the people, will vote for no incumbent who does not become a co-sponsor by election day. And the longer you wait, the less sincere will we believe that you are.
