It's time for the President of the United States and Congress to stop LYING to the American people about the Senate Health Care Bill (the House version hardly being any better).
They claim it contains a "bill of rights" which makes it all better, despite the fact that anything that would have provided for real structural reform has been systematically excluded (Medicare buy-in, prescription drug re-importation, etc.) They won't even allow the most feeble of so-called "public" options, which itself was never more than a crippled impersonation of single payer.
They claim that it would provide health care for 30 million new people. It will do no such thing. Instead it will FORCE us to provide our OWN health care at inflated rates we will have no effective power to negotiate.
And stop lying to us about how the insurance companies are so opposed to the legislation that was drafted to their own specifications. The fact is they can't stop chortling and you know it and we know it.
